Advances in technology made clean water accessible to everyone. With the invention of house water filters, you can now be sure water dispensers around your house produces only uncontaminated water. There are many different types of water filters. Whole House Water Filters are installed in your main water line. They remove sediments and rusts from the water. Under sink filters remove bad taste and odor from the water flowing from your faucets. More advanced under sink filters can also remove bacteria and lead. Faucet-mounted filters are connected to the faucet and can remove lead. They are small and easy to manage. Counter top filters are the simplest. They filter water just before you use it like when you pour water from a pitcher with a water filter attached to it. The most common counter top filter is the carbon block filter. It eliminates chemicals from herbicides and pesticides. The most expensive water filter is the reverse osmosis filter which can filter more impurities than any other filters. Distillation filter, on the other hand can remove impurities by the boiling process.

Before deciding on which water filtering method you want to use, consider its effectiveness and the cost it will take on a long-term basis. Make sure the water filters you are planning to install are not time-consuming or hard to use.
